Skins Tyre texture on sides and top

I have been trying to install custom tyre textures onto the F1 2012 mod by Sim Dream, but the texture is on the top and sides. I have gone into the files with ksEditor, but to no avail. TyreFX is turned on for this to work. Does anyone know of a fix or a way around this?

edit-- I understand that Sim Dream sucks, I just want to add period accurate tyres instead of looking at the same yellow ones all the time.

Nope. The closest thing to a solution is to replace the gomme.dds and gomme_blur.dds with whatever color you want. extension does not seem to work which is very unfortunate
