Hello sim racers,
For sale is my Samsung Odyssey G9 240hz 1000R Curved 49" Super Ultrawide monitor in like new condition with original box and all accessories.
This was purchased new in July 2020 and has been used for working from home and gaming since then. Selling as my time working from home is coming to an end and want something better suited to the new consoles. Thought I would offer it to you sim racers before selling anywhere else!
When I received the monitor it had a small cluster of dead pixels and a few stuck on colour red, I should have returned it for another to be honest but needed it for work so decided to keep, especially as replacement stock was non existent at that point in time.
At the start of April 2021 I contacted Samsung support to get these issues sorted before I tried to sell it. I received it back from their service center last week and they replaced the entire panel and frame so it is like new. Happy to report no dead pixels that I could see on a quick inspection (only took the monitor out to check all was okay before packing it away again for sale). There is one stuck pixel (on colour red) which is hard to spot unless looking it for and that's it, much better than the previous panel. Pictures show all the plastic protection covers on the frame showing it was all replaced and like new.
The monitor comes in its original box and packaging with all accessories including cables stands and VESA adaptors. The stand is unused as I used it with a monitor arm. I will also include a high quality 3m DisplayPort cable as its the one I used without issues.
Please note to use the monitor at its full refresh rate and resolution a graphics card that supports DSC (Display Stream Compression) is required I.E Nvidia RTX 20 series and newer, AMD NAVI: RX5700, RX5600XT, RX5700XT, RADEON VII, RX5500XT and newer. Other cards can use the monitor at 120hz which still looks great.
