The skin is in 4k, reducing it would kill the quality without improving the performance, there's no need for that.
The skin's DDS is 64mb, the map is the same size, that's why it's heavy.

4K uncompressed. Are you familiar with DXT compression? 4K DXT5 is 21,3mb, and map doesn't even need to be that high res. You could easily trim it to like 30mb (for the whole skin) while keeping main texture at 4K, with minimal loss of quality. Here is a direct comparison between 4K uncompressed vs. 4K DXT5.
