This was kind of a request, but it's also been a good learning experience on how to replace textures via the ext_config file. I'm hoping a few people might try it and give me some feedback.

Mostly what this config does is alter the look of summer compared to the CSP version. There is nothing wrong with the CSP version, but i'm just not a fan of the brown dried out look. I'm sure it is probably accurate, but I just don't like it. I also altered a few of the textures and replaced or...

Just wanted to add to my review and say a big thank you for taking up my request on this one. Gotta say this is a vast improvement over the washed out colours of the original and the track is now a joy to drive on.
Hope you don't mind me asking but would you be able to do anything with the dodgy looking cliffs or are they beyond help?

I can't do anything about the cliff shapes without knowing more about 3D software, but maybe I could come up with a better texture. Those are all things planned for updated versions. All I wanted to do with this one was set the lighting and mood for the different seasons and see how you use new textures without the need for a separate skin.

It was just an afterthought more than anything lol.

Did a little adjusting to the texture you pointed out. For now it's still the same texture, but at least the green portion of it fits in better with the other textures. Little less faded and a lot less blue.

In my continuing series of worthless mods, here is the latest version of this one.

-- Removed all the 3D trees and replaced them with 2D versions. Not many 3D trees on this one, but i'd still rather look at 2D versions than the 3D ones that stood out like a sore thumb.
-- Added working colored flag lights and working s\f line lights. Red always did work at the s\f line, but now there is green as well.
-- Two track skins that make the grass and trees progressively darker. All color...
