Vector logos - A collection of vector logos for skinning.

I spent a couple of afternoons chasing down some vector logos and I thought they could be useful for some ppl. There are 236 of them in this folder. All renamed and numbered. The big advantage of vector images is that you can resize them to just about any size you want without loss of quality. Most are ".eps", some are ".ai" and a couple of ".vst". Tested all of them with Gimp 2.8. So should give no problems in PS. I'll keep updating them in the future, adding more stuff. This is just a...

Yeah, there's no previews off course, but if you just open them in Gimp or PS, you get a preview. Not very good but good enough to see which is which. And a list? Just open the folder. They're all named correctly.

Well, sorry there mate, but I think it is a lot easier just to open the folder and to see what's there. Took me long enough to get this together, no need to reinvent the wheel IMHO...:)
And as I said, just open the folder in Gimp or Ps and you get nice previews.

Oh really? Have no problem here with Gimp 2.8. About converting, be aware that .png is a raster format. Would be better if you convert to another vector format like .ai or .vst. These vector files are not really images in their own right, they are scripts to make the image in the resolution you need without loss of quality, (pixelation). Anyway, really strange you can't open them in Gimp. Are you trying to open them in "file", "open"? Also are you using the latest version? (2.8.22)

Edit:

Always try to avoid scaling raster images. (.jpg .png etc.). Just import the vector file in the right resolution/size for your project. If the resulting image is too big or too small, just completely undo and delete the image and import again until you find the right size. Once imported don't resize.

This is the message I get from Gimp 2.8.16:
EPS_GimpMessage.png

I'll try updating to 2.8.22.

UPDATE: Gimp 2.8.22 opened the EPS file with no issues. :)

Yeah, ok. And pls come back here to say if it works. Also see if you have "Ghostscript" installed.
I can't remember installing it here, so 2.8.22 should be ok out of the box.

hal4000 updated Vector logos with a new update entry:

Vector Logos

Hi everybody.
Here's an update to my vector logo collection.
In the end I decided to add .png thumbnails for every logo so they are easy to ID now. Don't use these for skinning, they are there solely for ID purposes.

Changelog V1.2:

- Deleted a few logos that weren't working 100%.
- Renamed/renumbered a few that were incorrect.
- Added a few new ones.
- Added thumbnails.

Just delete the old 1.1 folder and replace with this one. Enjoy!
