Three-time world champion Sebastian Vettel is set to continue his Formula One dominance with Red Bull after agreeing a contract extension with the team.

The German will be behind the wheel of the Red Bull until at least the end of 2015 after penning a new deal, with his current contract due to expire at the end of next season.

Vettel, 25, has been part of Christian Horner’s side since 2009, since which time he has earned 29 race victories and claimed 39 pole positions on his way to three successive world titles.

The former Toro Rosso man currently leads the drivers’ championship after seven races of the 2013 season, with his victory in Sunday’s Canadian Grand Prix extending his advantage to 36 points over nearest rival Fernando Alonso.

His success at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve was Vettel’s third of the season, having already been first across the line in both Bahrain and Malaysia.
