vr help please

I have tried to run AC in vr, so far so good But....once i have picked my track car etc.. and go into the driving /race screen I am sat in the car but have NO controls, xbox 360 controller wont work, mouse /keyboard, even steering wheel and pedals are all dead????

I know its me but what am I not doing??

Try reloading your control profile.

Try making a new player profile. If this works, you can start to narrow things down.
You could maybe give us a bit more info - your specs, which VR have you chosen to start in game (Oculus or Open VR)?

What is a new player profile and how is one made? I have this problem
(no steering, pedals or shifter when switching to Open VR, but OK in Single Screen) after several months; this is the 5th or 6th time. When using G29,
controls could sometimes be recovered by re-running AC configuration wizard,
but that wizard fails for SimXperience Accuforce.
Loss of controls happened with Odyssey+ and now with HP Reverb G1.
Simply reassigning controls does not re-enable them for VR.

In the past, I was able to recover steering, shifter and pedals by deleting or renaming the Documents/Assetto Corsa folder,
but not this time. As another blind stab, I had Steam Verify integrity of game files.. and got this:

How does one know when files have been reacquired?
Launching AC again gave the same results;
controls work fine for Single Screen,
but are ignored for OpenVR.
