VR noob - need tips re: video capture

Hi guys

Took the plunge and picked up a HTC Vive, loving it so far, especially with AC, but right now alot of things are very Greek to me.

Trying to capture some in-game footage to show the guys at work, only this is the result I keep getting:

As you can see it is not quite correct to say the least, and anything anyone could do to assist would be appreciated, the beers will be on me.

What program are you trying to capture the replay with?
I tend to use fraps to capture the video at 30 fps in realtime...then use Handbrake to compress.
Move the cursor to the right while under the HMD and you can adjust the view to get a realistic seating view out the cockpit....don't forget to hit save.
Tap the CTRL and Spacebar keys repeatedly to make sure the virtual view is centered with the view in your HMD.
Nothing will kill your sense of immersion in VR, like being off-set to the actual steering wheel you're using.
