So Oculus have just announced that they are taking preorders in two days for their first commercially available product, however there are more announcements expected in the comings from HTC and Valve regarding the Vive. As someone who is very interested, I'm likely to buy one of these products asap for sim racing however there are so many unknowns at the moment....
What are your thoughts on either device for sim racing? I understand the Oculus won't work with dx10 or lower which potentially rules out a large number of quality sims: rF2, Automobilista and (currently) iRacing to name a few. What I don't know is whether the Vive is more likely to work with these games? From what I'm reading it seems that the Oculus is going to be a bit more closed off which is generally a no-no in the sim racing category.
