VR really blurry

Tried this again last night after the latest update, but I still find it really blurry, in car it's perfect but looking through the windshield it's very blurry, it's so blurry that I find it very difficult to drive and it completely ruins the immersion for me, not sure what to do settings wise to make the game less blurry.
Can someone please point me in the right direction lol
Spec
i7 6700 @ 4ghz
250 ssd
3tb hdd
rtx 2080
32 gb ram
windows 10 64bit

Could you summarize the workaround? I'm not in the mood to create another account just to check this out.
link to older support folder:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dprJ7QxIzyzb4jZC-H-fQ_sRzOVCFA62/view

#1 download the folder (it's a .rar file).
#2 kill all 3 oculus processes
#3 make back up for current support folder. (C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support)
#4 make firewall (outgoing traffic) rules to prevent these form connecting to internet:
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-client\OculusClient.exe
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-dash\dash\bin\OculusDash.exe
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\OVRRedir.exe
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\OVRServer_x64.exe
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\OVRServiceLauncher.exe
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-worlds\Engine\Binaries\Win64\UnrealCEFSubProcess.exe
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-worlds\Home2.exe
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-worlds\Home2\Binaries\Win64\Home2-Win64-Shipping.exe
#5 replace the backed up support folder with the newly downloaded .rar file (extract first to somewhere safe to a folder named "support" then replace)
#6 reboot

It's not working because that update that caused problems while in the beta branch is now in the main branch. This means you need to force a rollback of the files AND block the oculus software from updating again. That's what the workaround is about.

Sorry to interrupt but it's also been very blurry for me.
I have an i7 7700 and a gtx1080 so kinda similar or less than the OP.
Check my settings. in the attached pics. Those gave me reasonable clarity. You can increase the VR density to 110% maybe on your RTX2080.
This is based on a Samsung Odyssey plus to get stable 45fps. I tried anything to get 90fps but it's a mission impossible for my setup.
As you can see, I have nearly everything on low. After some testing I discovered that 3 things help to increase overall sharpness/clarity:
Antialiasing - VR density - Steam SS
If you want, or if my settings aren't good enough for you, you can increase VR density or Steam SS.

ACC is simply blurry in VR compared to other Sims, others are crystal clear but no matter what settings I've played with I can't get this one just right.
Distant objects/cars are the main culprit and after awhile i get eye strain, something i don't get in any other sim.

Yeah, i'v got a Pimax 5K+ and whatever the setting is: it's xxxx blurry. The only way for "crystal clear" picture is to lower down the resolution and max out the pixel density.
But with the lower resolution ACC feels like a PS2 game, that's why i droped the VR for this game: i'm playing with Triple Screen with ACC and in VR with the others.

Of course, I'm still watching at RD for the "massive VR Update" or for the "ultimate community tweak" we're waiting for. I enjoy so much Racing in VR! ;)

I read that latest NVIDIA driver 441.87 introduced a new feature for VR gamers:

Variable Rate Super Sampling
We introduced a new VRSS feature…
Variable Rate Super Sampling (VRSS) is a new technique to improve image quality in VR games which uses NVIDIA Variable Rate Shading (VRS) to dynamically apply up to 8x super sampling to the center of the VR display when GPU headroom is available. In doing so, VRSS can improve image quality at the focal point of the eye while always maintaining the 90 FPS needed to deliver a smooth VR experience.
