VRC FA 22: learning how to be fast

Hi all I'm new here and new to AC and simracing in general so please be kind to me :)

As a total noob I fell in a love/hate relationship with VRC FA 22, I love it because it's so satisfying to drive and I hate it because of the many stupid mistakes I keep making and sometimes can't barely tame that beast depending on my mood, so my hate is not VRC's fault really. Then I watch guys like this one (video below) and I'm immediately amazed and think "I want to be that fast", then I try to mimic him but fail miserably.

So I was wondering how can I drive fast and smooth like that? Any videos, links, tips, advices, directions, free driving classes, anything is appreciated, thanks!

Edit: just to be more specific, I think my main pain points are:

- brake late and downshift fast
- exit low speed curves properly without spinning

If you're "noob" to racing and AC , playing VRC formula cars is not a good place to start from. Their cars are oversteering prone. Assetto Corsa behaves different depending the level of realism implied . Kuno's set ups are also in general only good as long all driving aids are on, once the the elements of racing change like wind, track temperature , tyre degradation , fuel consumption their set ups from factory are crap. With that in mind your skills ladder should be more or less: Abarth 500 esse esse, once you can do consistent lap times move to: BMW E30 Gr 92 , once you can do some respectable lap times move: Tatuus Abarth F3 , then Lotus 125 , and lotus 125 stage 1, Ferrari F2004 and then the most technically challenge of them all the Lotus 98 T , this one in particular matches the description of the machines some of my friends drove in Formula One back in the day. If you can master all these cars and their equivalent in the game driving the VRC F22 would be cake. Now into your worries on Braking late and downshifting: Making sure to brake is more important than braking late, depending on the car, the amount of pounds of pressure varies , so make sure you brake enough and then downshift otherwise the computer onboard refuses to downshift fast enough, make sure you slow down and take the corner without wheelspinning and going wide.
How to avoid spinning? at the exit of the cornering simply make sure the steering wheel is straight.
Then power down .
If you're still spinning at very low speed you either braking sideways asking too much for the tires to hold the line or the car has the wrong set up.
PS. Stop watching youtubers, if you really wanna learn to drive a race car watch onboard cameras from the masters: Schumacher, Prost and some dude called Ayrton Senna .
