VRS Pedals incoming - recommended baseplate?

So I just ordered a VRS Pedal set. (In the US, put myself in the queue Friday and got order approval last night so they're about caught up for new orders.)

I have a gttrack with one thin plate to mount pedals so it looks like I really need a baseplate solution.

Is this SimLab baseplate setup probably my best option?

If so, are there any US retailers for this? Or can you recommend a retailer to ship to the US? Other baseplate recommendations are very welcome as well. Thanks!

As you are in the U.S., you might look at Race Department authorized vendor Advanced SimRacing based in Montreal. I just bought one of their wheel mounts and am happy with the quality and price along with speedy delivery.

Free standard shipping in the U.S. and Canada, plus a discount for RD users if you use their code listed here:

So, the ASR assembly is made for aluminum extrusion rigs and won't work with my gttrack. It looks like the sim-lab is also a tad too wide. I could modify it but I thinking there may be a better option out there.

Any suggestions?

Oh no sweat and thanks for the idea, love looking at options. I haven't contacted NLR. The included pedal plate looks like their solution and no other accessories are on their site for it.

I'm going through this thread now:

and it looks like some say the tray is fine, others say too much flex. I may just try it out first to see how it does stock.

One guy on reddit said he strengthened his by bolting some 4040 to both sides of the plate so that may be a good option as well.

I'll probably be going with an aluminum extrusion rig anyway so I may just get by with some flex if it has any until I do that.

When/if you do decide to move to an aluminum extrusion rig, Advanced SimRacing (ASR) should be top of the list in North America for value and excellent quality.

I have an extrusion rig of my own design which has evolved to use adjustable pedal plates from TracRacer bridged with 1515 80/20 profiles on which I mounted Fanatec CSP V.2 pedals. I also adapted a TracRacer adjustable wheel deck, but I just purchased the ASR Advanced wheel deck (have not mounted it yet.)

The Thrustmaster wheel is temporarily mounted on the TracRacer deck for testing. A Fanatec CSW V.2.5 is my main wheel which will be used with the ASR wheel deck.

One possible downside of both the TR and ASR plates is their heavy steel composition vs. lighter aluminum from other vendors.

Thanks for the pics, great pedal adjustment setup you have there.

I've actually been looking at ASR rigs so thanks for that mention as well. I've also been looking at rigmetal and racingcockpits RCP options.

Any thoughts on those other two brands and which may be best of the 3? Price isn't a huge issue but the RCP and Rigmetal are a bit more cost effective.

I did contact NLR on your recommendation and I joined their fb group for users. They responded and said I'd need to drill holes and if mounted in center of the plate I "shouldn't" have any flex. I also found a fb group post where someone mounted VRS pedals to the NLR wheelstand which is the same as the front half of my gttrack. They were mounted in the middle as well. I'm worried the middle won't work as I've got my T3PAs at the far end for my lawnchair legs. (I'm 6'4.) I'll just have to play with it. Shipping confirmed, they should be here Monday.

Finally had time to install the VRS pedals today. Mounting to the gttrack pedal plate so far has been a non-issue. I didn't even have to drill anything though NLR told me I would. I put them in the middle slots and after mounting the tray flat, it's stiffer than before.

Now I just need to get used to the stiff brake that works from pressure instead of pedal travel like my old T3PAs. Seems there may be a bit of a learning curve there, but only had time for a couple of laps.
