Wagnum's PPfilter - My personal ppfilter aiming for a realistic look with a little flare

There's some truly brilliant ppfilters out there, the natural graphics mod being one of my favorites. I do however feel in my opinion said filter lacks a little depth in contrast to my eyes plus I understand why they have removed some of the flashy enhancements but some if used sparingly I believe improves the look of the game. Also, many of the filters in my view either look too dull bright daylight settings or too light on dull overcast weather so for mine, ive decided to make sure all...

Here are some shots with your filter matched with some of Bernd Graf's weathers.
Great job, man!

WagnumPI updated Wagnum's PPfilter with a new update entry:

Converting to graphics mod (weathers now included)

Although it was looking great using other peoples weather mods, there were a few things that could be improved on. Therefore have gone through every weather and got rid of any issues and then improved the look to give it a little something. I reckon this now easily competes with the big guns out there and I hope you feel the same way once you've checked it out. Please review if you you think it's worth it as would like to spread this as much as possible as I believe it improves the look of...

WagnumPI updated Wagnum's Graphics Mod with a new update entry:

Adjustments from feedback

Right so ive made just a few adjustments as there were issues with it being too dark within the cockpit and complaints regarding it being too dark in general, washed out and too much effects. Therefore the brightness has gone up a tad to lighten up those cockpits of yours, the saturation increased slightly, some adjustments to heavy cloud weather to keep it gloomy (but not too dark) while at the same time prevent some of the colours from creeping away from realistic. The bloom effects and...

OK my review was definitely too harsh and I guess I was just in a bad mood.:speechless:
Maybe it's just my screen, as you said.
I'll redownload your new filter and if I have time, later I'll take screenshots and compare it to my own filters. (maybe I'll post them here in case I have a problem)
Please do. I Have taken into account some of your concerns and am currently working on it but with the striking contrast between what you said and what other people and myself are seeing I assume there must be other factors involved. You may prefer a slightly different look and everyone is always going to have there own preferences but it just sounds like too much of a difference for there not to be something else involved. Hope to see your pictures :)

Well you definitely improved it.
I'll still use my custom filters, but I admit, it does look pretty realistic.
So anyway, you can see some differences with mine.
The reds are definitely too red on my filter, but I didn't find a way to lower only the reds without lowering the other colors...
As for the vignetting on your filter, I know I can disable it easily so it's ok I guess.
I base my colors on what I see here in south of France, and believe me the colors are really that bright though! lol
I should try to take more pics with different weather...

It very much depends on the lighting your used to doesnt it but like I said before everyone is going to have a preference and although yours is great I prefer the look of mine in this photo

Hmmm on another track, it does look dark.... (Monza with Lotus 49 - Clear Mid - 12:00)
I think you'll see what I mean with this example.View attachment 120001 View attachment 120002
I checked my screen settings, it has contrast at 100 and gamma at 1.0 so it should be neutral. So I'm not sure if I have a problem with this.. Other games do look fine.
Edit : I'm starting to think it has something to do with your auto-exposure settings.
I disable auto-exposure on every of my filter.
Here I see what you mean in terms of brightness. I'm setting my filter up with the curtains pulled so can get the brightness set up for how I like it in those type of settings but it all depends on where your PC is etc so can understand where your coming from

Concerning the fog, I think you did a great job. My weather config seems similar to yours, but I did create a different filter to use with it though. And actually I created a different filter for EACH weather type (clear, overcast, fog, etc)
It makes mine look a bit colder but a bit more realistic I think, no?
Then again, I wonder how bright is my area compared to the rest of the world... lol
But I promise you that when it's foggy, it's really that white.:D
Maybe even more, actually.

Really like your fog and currently playing with these settings so will try and imitate that effect a little. Nice work :)
