The opening round of the SRO E-Sport GT Series was an electric experience.. check out our video reel of some of the great adventures from Monza.

The opening round of the Blancpain GT Series, the first race of the brand new SRO E-Sport GT Series. Monza, rain, speed, hard racing on the real and virtual circuits. More rain. Some sunshine, outstanding performances in both categories of activity - this was blurring the lines between real and virtual motorsport at its very best.

SRO E-Sport GT Series - Catch all the action from Monza HERE.

On the virtual circuit we had a deserving winner and some exceptional action throughout the field. Hard fought battles, incidents and driving masterclasses aplenty would be the story of the on track product, but that wasn't the only spectacle to enjoy during our all too short stay at Monza. The excitement of the Blancpain GT Series paddock was right on top of the E-Sport arena, and with such beauty to enjoy throughout the venue, we thought it might be nice to take you on a video tour of some of the excitement that took place during that weekend.

With Round Two at the French Paul Ricard circuit set to take place on the weekend of 31st May to 1st June, what better time to recall some of the excitement that has just gone, before we look ahead to the next chapter of what is set to become a very exciting series of racing during the year ahead.

Massive thanks to @VernWozza for the brilliant camera work during the weekend, and the awesome video at the head of this article.

Very professional production - nice work guys. Really enjoyed watching the streams too - Paul and Chris have great potential as a commentary team IMO; something akin to a pairing of James Whitham with Julian Ryder vibe :) (possibly showing my age!)

Great footage here - lots of close up work and drone shots I guess. Very slick. More please !

Some amazing RL footage too - great stuff and a tidy edit to boot. Great work.

Brilliant, very professional! Just a wee hint: camera should be on or a bit below Paul's eye level so Paul doesn't have to look up to the viewer in some of the shots. Pity the Italian sun didn't play along.
