This is incorrect. If you count lapsed iRacing members the figure has 6 digits. You can even find a list with players' real names. That 5 digit figure is the number of active accounts (currently it is over 80000).

I can only conclude you like to argue for the sake of argument. Please read the sentence of mine you quoted.

But thank you for the update on the current iRacing membership. A few years ago iRacing were quoting over 60,000 so, if there were any doubt, they are still growing.
 
Okay I misquoted. Again AC's average online number is like iR's lowest online number. If they are in the same ballpark then the ballpark is huge.

Hate to say this but "James" wrote a better article about 2 years ago on reading Steamchart numbers on his PRC.
