F1 2010 What is sprint mode?

I got an invite from a friend, I think he was doing sprint mode. I've only done TT so have no idea about other modes. Would he have been inviting me to race just him, or a bunch of people, and is pitting, fuel, tyres, involved or is it basically like TT?

Sprint mode is a 3 lap race round arandom circuit, its a public 'open' privicy so u race against anyone anywhere. As far as i know it is basically TT.

Thanks. What happens if you accidentally hit another car, are you disqualified or penalised? Is there a talk key to communicate with anyone on the track? Do you get to choose the fastest car?

Sprint races are with random cars, equal performance, reduced rules, collisions but cosmetic damage only. No fuel or tyre sim.

If you are mic'd up then everyone in the game loby can hear you. (unless they have muted you)
