First car I bought at 16: 1989 Nissan Sentra 120,000 miles on the body, 75,000 miles on the motor/drivetrain. A true go-kart with a tin-can body
Specs: 1.6L inline-4; 90 HP, 96 lb-ft torque; close to a whopping 40 mpg
Still used this as a beater/emergency vehicle up until last year when it finally started being more of a nuisance than it was worth. Even then the engine still kept ticking. I think the body had more fiberglass patches on it than metal by the end

I needed something I could use to move my belongings back and forth with when I went to college so my first vehicle of quality was a 1992 Toyota 4x4 Pickup (midnight blue). Purchased with ~55,000 miles on it (now have 130,000+). Absolutely bomb-proof, still use it today as my foul weather/towing vehicle.
Specs: 2.4L inline 4; 120 HP, 140 lb-ft torque; ~20 mpg

This past summer I decided to treat myself while I'm still single and can enjoy myself
Picked up a 2005 Nissan 350z 35th anniversary ed. (Silverstone) only had 12,000 miles on it. What a blast it is!
Specs: 3.5L V6; 300HP, 274 lb-ft torque; ~20 mpg city, 27 mpg highway
