What's in the Fanatec GT3 "secret" compartment?

I have the first iteration of the McLaren GT3 wheel. I remember thinking that the "things" in the compartment behind the wheel might rattle, so i took it out and stored it in a safe place. You probably guess the rest.. Yes, i don't remember where i put it  Been searching high and low to no avail. Was just wondering if it's even worth turning the house upside down, so if you remember (or can check) please refresh my memory :)

A hex key for tightening the optional fixing bolt.
To be precise, it was for the required clamping bolt. The McLaren V1 was fitted with the original 'Simplified QR' design which used a bolt to operate the clamping force, this is why it was deemed to be important to integrate the Allen/hex key into the design. Many customers received the metal QR as an upgrade though, which uses the optional bolt you're referring to.

I actually purchased the metal QR along with the GT3 wheel, since i've used mine exclusively with a CSW wheelbase. On another note; @DomB_Fanatec, are the "optional" bolts available as spare parts? I've been considering a CSL DD and watched a yt-clip (i think it was by GamerMuscle?) where he mentioned that without the bolt, the wheel tends to have some annoying wiggle/play on the shaft if you don't secure it with the bolt.

Yes they should be available. Please open a support ticket or use our live chat to request this.
