This is my overlay once experimenting with the editor from Happy Medium DynHUD for my widescreen monitor 2560x1080 but can be used for standerd 1920x1080 if preferred.

I placed the files as directed in your post but it doesn't show up. Any ides what went wrong?
My resolution would be 1920 x 1080

Just a sleight adjustment to the time at the top center which was not aligned properly.

I've never seen that before when using the HUD. What resolution are you running? I'll try and recreate it at my end and see if I can fix it.
