Will you switch to Oculus Quest?

edit: NEVERMIND, the Quest is BS, not for us lol.

Just got the Rift, now discovered the Quest is released Spring 2019. Argh.
...of course, considering our beloved titles will port...
But comparing, the considerations would be:

+ Higher res on Quest (screen-door effect on Rift is noticeable)
- 72Hz (probably nauseating for racing)
- Wireless (nice, but prolly the reason for the lower Hz)
- Rift has a 'higher ceiling' graphic-wise, depending on your GPU

So what do you think?

Yeah I don't think you realise what the Quest is, it's not an "upgrade" of the Rift, it's the in between HMD from Go to Rift so it sits in the middle of the spectrum so to speak. Although porting Games to the Quest will be possible the Rift is a far better HMD for dedicated PC Gaming, the Quest is Standalone designed for quick & easy game play on the fly without being tethered to a PC.

The HTC Vive Pro was an upgrade to the Vive for example, the Quest is nothing like that.

Watch this

Then you might understand why the Quest is not the same as Rift and therefore not aimed at the hardcore gamer.

The Quest does not connect to your PC.

The Quest does not have USB ports for your wheel and pedals.

The Quest does not run Assetto Corsa games, Project Cars games, rFactor2, RaceRoom, or Live for Speed.

Apart from that, it would be perfectly suitable I'm sure.
