This thread did my head in
Since 2012 I told anyone listening that using FSW ( Fullscreen windowed mode not Borderless ) in rFactor2 ( single monitor) was best and no one agreed, overwhelming better when online multi-tasking for me
So can anyone in plain English tell me how I should deal with FSO today
BTW:
The only sim I have that ran perfect FSW was rF2
I could lap inches behind players cars and shoot screens from my wheel no micro pauses, etc.
FSW is the same for me as 2012 beta , AA is better, it's smoother and you can use the window key with no hiccups. That is why I always run rF2 online server even if I doing private offline
This way you hit window key you can still watch cars lapping and use tools , watch movie or show CPU-Z benching and Ryzen Master like I did yesterday in a thread here ....anyway whatever ..... no change in performance or stability I could tell
So am I supposed to do all the exes to stop FSO or because I use FSW it does not matter ....like I said I can't see anything odd happening. Do various games/sims have different symptoms ?
P.S. I gathered that turning off all the "Game" settings in Windows does nothing
Windows 10 Queueing Frames in game (false fullscreen mode?)
I tested GPUView to check Nvidia limiter and I noticed it's queueing frames like it was running on Windowed Mode. Then I reverted the driver to the 436...
