WinZip not loading track to PG 3 - What am I doing wrong? This used to be so easy....

I am having difficulties with WinZip putting a track download in. This used to be so easy in earlier generation of games. I really want vintage tracks in PG3.

7zip is the new winzip

Many of the tracks do not automatically load to the game when you unzip them. Winzip will unzip them to a separate folder. Then you have to open the folder and copy the track folder and paste it in the locations folder of the game.

I downloaded the GPC 79 tracks in a separate folder and dropped Jarama in to test. Now the game will not start. This is really frustrating.

Tried extracting with 7Z and got several error messages beginning with the word 'Cannot'. I guess I cannot play this sim.

David, where did you download the GPC79 tracks from? I don't see them here.

I downloaded the tracks to my P&G folder. I ran a quick test on most of them. I did experience some crashing due to having too many cars on the track. Even though the game is designed with 36 cars per track, some of the tracks for whatever reason will crash if you push the car count t high.

As an example, I tried to run a Jarma with 32 cars and the game crashed. When I lowered the car count to 27 it ran just fine. Some of the 79 tracks do have a lower car limit in the GBD file and if you go above that number it will cause the game to crash.
