I think that illustration is a bit over the top. Here's a photoshop I've seen on other sites of what some of the changes could look like when implemented.

This is a story I'll follow closely over the next few months. I wonder if this is part of the reason Citroen is planning to leave WRC or WTCC before the 2017 season. Could this be enough to cause Citroen to stick w/ WTCC only in the future?

2017 testing is well underway. The Yaris is looking and sounding good. Looks like quite a bit has been (re)done compared to earlier versions of the Yaris. Citroen has the new C3, and VW has the 2017 version of the Polo. This Polo does look wider than before, certainly not as drastic as that concept art though.

I would think Hyundai and M-Sport are well into development too, but there's been no sign of either car yet.
