WRC8 to WRC9 Sounds - WRC9 Mod

If like me you prefer the sounds of WRC8,I found the solution to put these back into WRC9.

This changes everything and especially for the R5 category .

Installation is very simple:
Extract directly in your WRC9 folder the archive.
You have now JSGME.exe and a folder "MODS"

Launch JSGME and and when he asks you :

View attachment 441123

Click ok.

Now you have this :

Switch "Sounds WRC8" from left to right and close JSGME,that's all...

We hope that will happen or if ever developers overhaul all of the engine sounds on the next patch.

it is unfortunately not possible because they changed ,among other things, the parameters for the voice of the co-pilot which makes the game crash at startup despite all the tests I could do...

Thanks for the info, unfortunate as it is… The sound on replays in WRC 10 is miserable.

I agree. 10 sounds like they put blankets over the microphones while recording. The sounds are almost lifeless in the replays.

After extracting the zip to WRC 9 folder. double clicking on your JSGME.exe file, and I get a windows popup notification "this app can't run on your pc". running as admin has the same message.
