Welcome to the central discussion thread for the sixth round of the 2019 FIA WTCR by Oscaro at Vila Real.

A fierce street circuit that bites hard for any driver who makes a mistake, Vila Real is one of the more challenging additions to the WTCR calendar in recent years, and has already produced some exciting racing during its short time at the top level of touring car racing.

With the weather expected to be hot all weekend, and with plenty of drivers with something to prove following a fraught weekend last time out at the 'Green Hell' - this weekend should see another great event once again.

Still remember Tarquini with a wet towel on his head on the podium, because of the heat! It can be quite a challenge, this one, it can always bring some surprises :coffee:
Yeah, trás os montes has the best meat in the world but when it is hot... they have a saying there "six months of winter, six months of hell" it is a most fiting monicker.

They also have an amazing party in August, the granith fair. Where you can gaze at huge blocls of granith and eat a full meal for a fiver.

I'd so love to race this track in a sim! It's a hidden gem of a street circuit even though the current layout is only half of the one from the 1960s. (It's probably out there somewhere for AC, but that's probably not accurate enough.)
