X Box One Controller not recognised

I stupidly played around with steam configuration Controller. Now Race Room says my XBox is "missing". I can no longer use Xbox One at all in this game. I can no longer drive!! Can anyone help?

PS. Fortunately all my other racing sims, apart from rFactor 2 were unaffected by my action (I have been able to use xbox 360 configuration in lieu).
