XD Install

Question: Can one have a no cd patch and the XD mod both working for the DVD rfactor version 1.255?

I have just purchased, installed, and raced online the DVD version 1.255 of rfactor. I have since installed XD but it does not show up ingame. I have researched and found that one needs to apply an update patch " f " inorder for the XD to work in the DVD version. This presents a small problem for me.
I have installed a no cd patch. IF I install the " f " patch will it overwright the no cd patch exc. file and thus eliminate the no cd patch?
