Audi Sport quattro S1 E2 (Michele Mouton-British Midlands Ulster Rally 1985) 1.01

So, here it is, my third Assetto Corsa skin (I haven't given much love to the Italian game, honestly), and my second work over an Audi Sport quattro after the Gran Canaria Race of Champion I made like one or two years ago.

This car right here is the one Michele Mouton and Fabrizia Pons used on the 1985 British Midland Ulster Rally.

Audi Sport UK expected to have a great tarmac round against the Opel Manta 400s of GM Dealer's drivers Jimmy McRae, Russell Brookes and Bertie Fisher, so they gave Malcolm Wilson and David Llewellin two fully backed Audi quattro A2 Group B cars, while giving the Franco-Italian pair of Michele Mouton and Fabrizia Pons the Audi Sport quattro S1 E2.

All looked great, and this beast right here came in hot on the Northern Ireland rallying scene... well, its engine came in hot, with an overheating engine which resulted on a broken turbo on the first stage. Things looked better for Wilson, but the A2 gearbox couldn't last the whole event. GM Dealer took home a 1-2 win, with Russell Brookes finishing first overall, followed by Jimmy McRae, 19 seconds behind the Andrews Heat for Hire's driver. Third came Mikael Sundström with the Peugeot 205 T16. The only surviving Audi, drove by David Llewellin, came in 4th, followed by the last of the official Mantas, drove by Bertie Fisher, fifth.
