After the recent announcement of three BMW race cars coming to the sim, RaceRoom unveiled the BMW M4 GT4 to be the second car. It will join the BMW M2 CS Racing in May.

Earlier this week, RaceRoom announced that three BMW cars would head to the virtual grids of the sim this month. The first domino was the BMW M2 CS Racing, the touring car being the spiritual successor of the M235i. Now, taking a step up, the second car of the upcoming release was revealed to be the BMW M4 GT4, meaning @Majuh got it right with their guess in the comments of our previous article on the new cars.

But wait, does RaceRoom not already have an M4 in the GT4 class? Indeed, the GTR-4 category, as it is called in-game, does feature the car, albeit in an earlier version. The M4 GT4 (F82) was succeeded by the G82 version in 2023, which is the one that is coming to RaceRoom soon.

The main differences are the bigger, more aggressive grille in the front, like the M4 GT3 also features, and a reworked rear wing. It also shares some components with its bigger brother, such as the Fanatec steering wheel.

As with the M2 CS Racing, various real-world liveries will be available for the M4 GT4. This includes the blue and yellow Bilstein car sim racing YouTubers Jimmy Broadbent and Steve "SuperGT" Brown are racing alongside Misha Charoudin and Manuel Metzger in NLS this year.

What do you think the final car in RaceRoom's upcoming BMW trio is going to be? Let us know your guesses in the comments below or on Twitter @OverTake_gg!

I think the new BMW grill is very marmite. I like marmite but seriously not a fan of that grill. Too much of a statement and not a good looking statement at that imho. You are also giving them more money for less material :) lol.

That's 2 cars related to Jimmy Broadbent in RaceRoom. Not that I am angered by this. Just saying...

No idea on what the last BMW will be. I just hope it isn't the drift car. That'll be anti-climactic in my opinion.

In my street one family do have this two door big grilled BMW, while on photos its looking ugly but in real life it’s an impressive powerful design. Also I’m glad BMW did drop the sharp edges/angle designs.
RRE always slow to the party like DX9 lol
Guess they waiting for the DX13. Lol.
Lots of flysims did made the transfer by leaving DX9 (BoS & DCS) so this seems to be not that difficult. But for some reason this game is like a dog chase his own tail and not going forwards.
Still I think Overtake should ask the question on "real improvements plans" to the studio, instead of another car message. But I’m afraid it’s only cheap window dressing activities to give the buyer the illusion it’s not abandoned ware.

It’s a pity, because I did try this game at a free to use weekend and it’s aged but not bad.
