ive been using this since june/july when it was very new and it makes assetto corsa witha controller alot more enjoyable not having it be super twitchy grip driving and you can make small precise adjusments. Drifting does work but makes it feel like carx physics where counter steering is not needed unless doing massive entries or about to spin out. Take it with a grain of salt as it looks like youre drifting with a wheel in replays and feels amazing to tandem with

Great concept but for some reason as I hit the brakes and ABS kicks in the car doesn't want to steer? or it acts all weird steering all over the place? (tested with ACFL 2017 f1 car)

The F1 car naturally has no ABS, so as per the troubleshooting section you'll need to force ABS on to use this script, as it's almost impossible not to lock the brakes.

I really love it, it's perfect for casual driving and hooning.
My only issue is mad understeer at high speed, I wish we could tune that down a bit without loosing the great feeling at slower speeds.

This helped my friend be able to play with me, thanks! I have yet to try it myself, but he says it feels much better than stock settings.

One problem we ran into was not seeing Gamepad FX. Your solution says to update Content Manager, but we found that we had to also update CSP for the setting to show. It would be helpful to add that in the solution.

Recommend making different versions of the script with varying levels of steering assist effect.

Current setting is perfect for casual driving, but driving on the limit although I appreciate the stability, it's too understeery for my liking and it abuses front tires too much. I want to dial this out according to my preferences.

5 star for your effort, the grip and stability is quite good especially compared to my setup, but for some reason most of the cars understeer like crazy hindering other wise good experience.

A great mod for AC despite being a sim.
I think the opposite lock assist a bit too strong. I'd like to be able to play with the throttle a bit more and sustain my slides. That is proving difficult for me.
This changes the game. Keep at it.

I can slacken it, but the correction at high speeds will lower along with it, resulting in a 'fishtailing' effect. I suppose there can be two versions, but then that complicates things. I'll see what I can do though!

Amazing addon. I usually struggled to race with a controller and always was way behind the Ai pace.
With the formula hybrid X Evo around spa: my lap time was 2:05, After trying your addon. I got a 1:57. It makes racing with a gamepad much much easier. I strongly recommend this!

I've just run some laps around old Spa in an old 60s IndyCar and it was a ton of fun. It takes a little bit to get used to, sometimes it feels as if someone was pulling on the wheel... but it's fun, and it works. Great job.

Yeah that's the gyro stopping the car from spinning when you let go of the stick (which in real life would be like letting go of the wheel mid-turn). Not much I can do sorry!

Very good!

In first person the "fishtailing" is not so noticeable.
But in third person it is very noticeable, regardless, it made the game much simpler for me, 5 stars!

I like this attempt to make Assetto Corsa more accessible to us gamepad users, but this preset much like other scripts for Gamepad FX still has the horrible "fishtailing" effect. If it could be made closer to how BeamNG did made assisted steering, this would be perfect.

Yeah it's something I can't quite fix. I can remove the fishtailing but the 'snap' to the middle is quite harsh.

I love it, finally Assetto Corsa w/ Xbox gamepad doesn't feel so lacking! But I do want the steering returnability (returning to center) more smooth. Currently it feels very snappy, which isn't so comforting when driving passenger cars like M3 or Skyline GT-R.

That's something I'm working on, I'd love the same thing. I can achieve it, but the response rate of the LUA correcting slides slows down too. I can't seem to separate the values.

Maybe I should release two versions, a more relaxed version perhaps?
