Review of the new house/lifter/coffee mod, specific to the new house.
Pros
Big house in a great place on the map.
Spacious garage, plenty of room to work on the satsuma. Default garage can feel cramped, this garage dosent have the same issue.
Swimming pool, grill, hot tub. Plenty of other decorative items to make you ohhh and ahh at the detail of the house.
Decently priced without feeling like you can never afford it.
It does have all the functionality of the default house, and then some. Shower, save point, phone, map, bed to sleep and so much more.
Cons
The house/rooms are way to big to house the current furniture. The kitchen alone could be half or even a forth of its current size and lose no functionality and woudent be cramped. Maybe its a work in progress, but i cant imagine what you can add to a kitchen that it already has.
There is so much dead space throughout the house.
The space to the left and right of the stairs is all wasted space. Some lead to doors, but most of the space is dead.
The upstairs sitting area is, for one thing, unnneded and second a lot of dead space. A pretty big area that houses very little. Like using a backpack to carry around a toothpick.
The 2 garages. Im not sure what to call the big one. A hanger? The small garage i like, the big one is a huge waste of space. The only functionality it houses is the small lifter. The big lifter is not needed.
I feel like you could rearrange the rooms, get rid of the dead space without the house feeling cramped. Relocate the kitchen into the space you freed up, and make the garage taller. Move the lifter into the garage and get rid of the hanger.
The lighting in the garage could use work. There are 2 small wall mounted lights that are near useless at night.
The lighting in the house overall is poor. The house is very dark at night.
The marijuana plant in the front yard. Really? Come on.
My review, i love the idea of adding a new house in a new location. For those of us that like to roleplay it fits nicely. And i am currently using this mod and living in the house. But i feel a few things just missed the mark. The house seemed to be designed with size and looks as the priority, then fitting things in and making it functional was secondary. Bigger is not always better, and this house and the hanger is way to big to house what it has currently. You could have a house half its size and still house everything it has.
