Good base and I'm looking forward to updates with general shader improvements etc.
The shifting animation is lightning quick and a real immersion-breaker in VR, but the animation doesn't seem to respond properly to changes in the blend time, static time etc, so I think something is wrong with the core animation. I think this is an improvement but it seems the blend time can't be increased without it affecting the static time, so slowing down the arm movement means he holds the gear knob for too long. These should be independent of each other. Oh, and you have packed and unpacked data in the car folder - there should really only be one or the other, not both.
