Well, to celebrate the release of Bremgarten... I decided I should probably try my hand at updating & finishing the physics for this ridiculous old beast.
This is still heavily WIP & to be honest I don't really have any earthly idea how it should actually drive, just that it should probably be capable of negotiating at least one or two corners without exploding. (It did finish races IRL.) To that end, I've reworked:
- Tires
- Brakes
- Aero
- Tires again
- Suspension settings
- Vehicle Inertia
Installation:
Much like the XJ-13, this resource is no longer available here at Race Department but can still be downloaded, for free, over at the assettocorsamods.net forums. So step 1, if you don't already have the car, is to head over there and pick up the most recent version from Mantasisg's resources.
Once you have that installed, simply unzip & place the contents of this download into the folder. The UI files have been changed, so allow them to overwrite the existing files. I've packed an ACD for the data so that should just drop right in.
I'm not interested in reworking any more of these, though. I gave myself a tendon injury while completing this (which is why updates suddenly stopped there a few months ago) and I'm not eager to repeat that experience. It had an effect on my ability to do my day job and that's something I don't need to mess with.
