Automobilista 2 Update is Live: More Than An F1 Car

Automobilista 2 Update in Beta More Than An F1 car.jpg
The April update for Automobilista 2 is here – and Reiza Studios continues to make incredible progress in their sim: Not only does V1.3.5.0 bring eagerly awaited new content to the table, it also improves the ERS and tire models as well as other elements under the hood.

To get the most important question out of the way first: Yes, the Formula Ultimate Gen2 car that represents the 2022 crop of Formula One vehicles, is now part of AMS2. Along with the brand-new single seater, a reworked ERS system and tire model make their way into the sim. Ever since the beta version of the update dropped, sim racers have been praising the F-Ultimate Gen2, and once the inevitable community skin pack is here, you can enjoy your own virtual version of the current F1 season.

Fans of Brazilian motorsports also get their share of new content: The 2022 season of the Stock Car Pro series is now in AMS2, and just in time for the real event on April 10th, the Galeao Airport circuit has also been added.

Various smaller fixes have been implemented as well, such as additional entries for the F-USA Gen1 class, fixes to the crowds at select tracks, and general bug fixes. Reiza as also further improved the AI and added a logic for forced and unforced errors, which should make offline races more believable. You can find the full changelog in full on the next page to find out all the details of the additions and adjustments. Which parts of the update are you most looking forward to try for yourself?

Do you see many old GTs in AMS2........
You've got the classic cars, and the 90s GT cars. I was just making the point that there are other options in simracing, as mentioned in AC, RRRE, AMS1, RF2 and RF if you want to scrape the barrel quality wise.

Gen2 Car + Skinpack + VR = Utterly stunning.

Just amazes me the tech we have nowadays and the level of immersion and detail we can achieve.

Its been a long long time since my F1 itch was scratched.

Think I'll be spending a lot more wheel time in AMS2.

Please Reiza no!

Modern GT cars have been done to death in sims like ACC, AC, Raceroom, iRacing, and rFactor 2. The beauty of AMS2 is the cars that are rare. Give me more 60's, 70's, 80s, and 90's, Indycars, and F1. Give me more Group C, and 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's, sports cars, and tourning cars. Give me more vintage Brazilian stock cars. Anything else, except modern GT3, and GT4. :)
While I agree, they've got a selection of 4 current GT3 cars, would do well to include more of the current cars. I know there's issues with licensing and what not, but it would be great.

I think that rounding out the GT3 class would bring more attention to AMS2, thereby allowing for further development of other classes.

Personally I think they need a point of difference in order to bring attention and sales to the game, and just having the same car-set as other more popular titles won't be a point of difference.

There are some improvements that hav'nt even been mentioned in the patchnotes one in particular im very happy with! The Group C's A.I. are now racable in the wet as the artifical grip they used to have has been tamed, its absoloutely brilliant! Bravo Reiza!
