NASCAR 21: Ignition has received an update which allows players to test out the next gen Ford Mustang.
Motorsport Games' roadmap for NASCAR 21: Ignition earlier this year didn't bring much good news for those hoping for a major overhaul of the title, but some interesting news teased in that roadmap was the forthcoming addition of a next gen NASCAR vehicle. That next gen car has now been released.
The next gen Ford Mustang is now available to test out in solo runs at Daytona in N21, but unfortunately that is the limit of your interactions with the new content.
Outside of the new car, there was also a comparatively long changelog to move the game to version 1.4.5.0. NASCAR 21 has fallen short of the expectations of many players due to its buggy user interface and the absence of many features common in other racing sims, but this and a few other upcoming monthly updates may contain fixes users have been searching for. - Fixed an issue that could cause the AI to enter the track during the player’s qualifying session.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the AI to take control of the player’s car during Qualifying at Michigan after skipping the Practice session.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the AI to retain control of the player’s car if they did not pit after the Stage 1 results screen.
- Fixed an issue that caused unintended AI behavior after cautions at Bristol.
