As sim racers, we all enjoy making the most of sales. Indeed, there is no greater feeling than saving a few dozen pennies on a title that requires an expensive PC, high-tech wheel and reinforced rig to run.

This weekend, 505 Games is hosting a company-wide sale on many of its products, including both PC entries to the Assetto Corsa franchise. In fact, both AC and ACC are on sale throughout the weekend. Better yet however, Assetto Corsa Competizione is available to play for free from now until Monday morning.

Assetto Corsa Competizione Sale

As aforementioned, the title many dub the best GT3 simulator is available to play for free on PC all weekend. Therefore, it is a great opportunity for all those that do not own it to have a go and try it out.

If you do end up enjoying all the game has to offer, ACC will remain on sale until 21 September. It is currently 70% off, making for quite the bargain costing just €12. Furthermore, every piece of DLC released over the title’s four-year lifespan also comes at a reduced price.

For older content like the IGTC, British GT, 2020 GT World Challenge or GT4 packs, a whopping 60% discount is available. The more recent Challenger’s Pack and American Track Pack come in at 30% off whilst the 2023 GTWC extension features a 20% discount. All this means the full game with all its additional content will only cost €65.

Assetto Corsa Discount

Elsewhere, the 505 Games sale also includes the original Assetto Corsa. Featuring seemingly unlimited modding capabilities and a plethora of engaging communities, it is a must-have for any avid racer. The base game’s 80% reduction is certainly a tempting offer, costing just €4. However, one must splash out on the 76% sale for the Ultimate Edition featuring loads of first party content for less than €20.

Will you be getting either Assetto Corsa game or DLC on sale this weekend? Let us know in the comments below!

Motorsport gets my blood pumping more than anything else. Be it physical or virtual, I'm down to bang doors.

I own it, just don't play it (and thus stopped buying DLC).
As I can only play in VR due to space constrains, and it runs like **** in VR on my pc.
Graphically ACC is a constant struggle, no matter how much money I spend I can't get past VR low settings. The physics are like cocaine to me though, I can't get enough of them and will happily take reduced visuals to drive the sim. I would love nothing more than to have nice graphics in ACC but I don't think it's going to happen.

I'm holding out for AC2 being the best of both AC and ACC.

Perhaps interesting to mention that if you own a certain amount of ACC DLC, then the rest can be purchased at a lower price in a bundle.
For instance, because I own everything except the 2023 GT World Challenge Pack, I'm now offered a 68% discount on that particular item (resulting in a cost of €4.16).

Oh I liked driving it even before it 'got good' at my previous place. Unfortunately, my rig doesn't fit behind my desk straight on here. So I have to put it sideways and use a VR HMD.

If I were to use the tv, I'd have to get a 20m optical hdmi cable & usb cable. And find a way to not have to roll out the cables across the open every time.

My set up is a nightmare too. I don't have the rig out all the time, so I have to pull it out of a closet (well, an unused bathroom). I can only set it up behind my desk so my monitors are really far away and it's hard to see what's on them. I generally only do it at the weekend. I'm at the limits of my mouses wireless signal too.

Lately if I take off my headset to check something the mouse stops working in game and I have to take the headset off and try and look at the eye pieces from a distance so it thinks I'm not wearing the headset. I'm sure that's just a setting somewhere.

If anything, that's sounds like a royal pain.

I personally have a rigid wheel stand and attach a chair (low to the ground) to it, that I made on an improvised frame witch wheels. Annoying that there is a little flex between the chair and stand, and I can't set the brake pressure to max, due to lifting up/tilting the stand in that case. But hey, at least I can move it around easily! xD

Same. I can't bring myself to uninstall it even though I never play it. Maybe I'll try again if I ever get that 4090.
Don't get your hopes up to high. I have a 4090 and it doesn't even come close to Automobilista 2 in VR (but that's with a very demanding HMD, the Pimax Crystal). But yes the same for me; I also still have ACC installed for unknown reasons.

Marketing education tells me KS will release some info about AC2 or the (hopefully) upcoming ACC GT2 content within a month or so... this free play weekend and DLC sale is to generate/reinvigorate big interest :geek:

Despite other writing down from all the VR circuit race games I do own RFc2, AC, AMs2 or I did try ( =RRoom), ACC does its VR-job the best on eliminate graphical artifacts like shimmering and jaggies. While an amazing 3d view on details like carbon fibers in cockpit view is a nice bonus.
I’m forced to use AC and that’s mainly because I do not like the “modern” content in the other games.
