Two teams have announced they will make their apprereance in the newly created GT1 championship next season.

Both teams will enter with two Aston Martin DBR9's. The FIA still has to approve the entry of Team Hexis AMR and Young Driver AMR but it is most likely they will appear on the list that will be confirmed in January.
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]The team has proved itself already during the last seasons winning the FIA GT3 European Teams Championship in 2009 with an Aston Martin DBRS9.

The FIA GT1 World Championship will debut in 2010 as a successor to the previous FIA GT Championship which featured the GT1 category as well as a GT2 category. GT2 cars will now compete in the FIA GT2 European Championship, a support series for the FIA GT1 World Championship.

Thanks Bram for the link info. To be honest I thought it was going to be a bit dull as they dumbed down the series, but to hear that Aston Martin are back has really focused my interest. Can't wait untill May 2010 to watch them at Silvestone.
