Nice. Another change of scenery for WTCC. they should juggle the venues around even more to make it more interesting, there are some great circuits out there that would benefit from this type of event!
 
Plus a North American tour maybe. Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta and Mid Ohio anyone?

I totally agree, way too many kart-ish tracks on the calendar at the moment. But those are a real plague in so many types of motorsports nowadays.
 
its now official, that it wasn't a mistake by saftycar driver. it was coming from race control who told the sc driver to stay on the track because there was an oreca stopping on straight. but although they switched the lights to green...

We already reported three weeks ago that the boss of the FIA World Touring Car Championship Marcelo Lotti is looking into the possibility of hosting two races at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. This statement obviously has inspired Volvo to record a lap on the legendary 22 kilometer long track with a 405 bhp strong prototype Volvo C30 Polestar and FIA WTCC driver Robert Dahlgren behind the wheel:
