part 2 doesn't download as a zip file. Its an unrecognizable file type.

You need both track archives in the same directory to fully decompress. Extract the first archive (.001) either in directory or to a new folder; 7-zip and similarly compatible apps will automatically bridge the .001 and .002 into one.

I'm a little confused as to how to install this. I've followed the advice from @PasokonDeacon but my files/archives will not merge/bridge/combine (I don't know what the proper vocabulary is). I am using 7zip. Thanks.
