Free is certainly a bit much to ask. The devs need to make money to produce content. It does not magically appear. But I agree it is significantly more enpensive than what we were used from DLC for AC1 in the past for example.

However, you also need to consider that 30% go to Valve and a big chunk also gets removed for VAT depending on your location, so in the end it's not a lot of money that ends up with Kunos.
If we don't buy we don't support Racing games and companies, so we'll be guilty this kind of games dissapear, we are living a great age with games like this, Ams2, Pc2 or Rf2, so buy a dlc is just not a way to have new content, we got the right and power to create new studios and Racing games, don't you believe it?

Good to hear the Lord has worked his magic on the robot drivers, I'm also interested in the Performance increase as I need more SS to help with the VR Blur at distance. I'll check it out at the weekend and I just hope I can get it good enough to warrant it's presence on my SSD, previous patches did very little so I'm not holding too much hope.

Making money from DLC looks like easy money for the producers in my opinion.

They should focus on earning money by gaining new players, not by charging same users again.
Maybe you missed it, but this is ACC 1.6 (for free) with improved AI, tire model, game performance, + optional paid DLC that has new cars, track and teams. I pretty much prefer the devs to continue developing a game and add features, instead of just dumping it and releasing a new game every year. And to gain new players, as you want, you need to add features, tracks etc. But @Eng. you have the choice to not buy the DLC.

Where did I write making new game? I wrote improve the main game to reach more audience. It will improve mp base as well.

Tire model not changing if you don't buy the DLC.

Oh, easy money is it? New track, two new cars, and the whole 2020 line up and liveries. That takes work - a lot of it.

Oh sod it, I give up. Really would all of you that are complaining about chargeable DLC that's cheaper than a bloody pizza prefer that Kunos dumps the DLC model and goes for yearly full price releases. You know like ACC '18, ACC '19, ACC '20.

So far ACC and all of the DLC has cost me less than a single yearly iteration of the F1 series.

And another thing, SIm Racing is not the cheapest hobby around, and while I do understand there are people who find it difficult to afford, I also suspect there are many of you with not insignificant wheel and pedal setups that are also bitching about paying a tenner or so for some extra content.

I would suggest you to at least read the opening post of this thread before just saying stuff on the Internet.
The 1.6 free upgrade includes improvements in the tire model, the 2020 DHE tire model (which you can use without buying the DLC), aerodynamics, AI, game performance etc.

About the improvements in the tyre model, here are more details: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/...roved-tyre-model-and-dhe-2020-compound.67335/

About reaching more audience, ACC yesterday reached its all-time concurrent players record:

Gave the update a go last night and the graphics optimization has helped vr performance a bit but nothing crazy the game does feel smoother with less dropped frames and stutters.

Is there a mod or tweak that can be done to fix the way the camera moves in VR?
It seems to move and bounce like it's mounted to the front bumper instead of the drivers head and gets a bit nauseous.

The 2020 tire model feels much better than the old version and has improved the handling and ffb on several cars.

Gonna try a few ai races tonight and if the ai and performance optimization hold up, I'll most likely purchase the new DLC

Does anybody have a good settings guide for triple 1440p screens? I can't seem to break 60 FPS no matter what I set the settings to. Low or High quality doesn't seem to make a difference. Double checked the monitors are running at 165hz. It feels a lot chopier than 60 FPS too, feels more like 20-25 most of the time. Running a 2080ti and 9900KF.

Imola is very nice and glad to see it in the game.

The new tire model is definitely better for me. And the AI too. This game will definitely be the GT racing game of all if they could add multiclass with GT4s for me.

Also, I do appreciate that they released the skins for the old cars for free. Only need to pay for the new ones.

Hopefully, 2020 GT4 will come soon.

I downscale to 60% & use Temporal AA on high ( actually most things on high ) which seems to work very well if you can ignore the window frame ghosting. KTAA is ok also if you can put up with a few jaggies, FXAA as you might imagine does not work well at all ( and is a really stupid thing to use when you're downscaling anyway! ). I'm running a 5700XT which has way less grunt than your 2080 & averaging about 70fps, also using Freesync.

If you want detailed settings I posted them in a thread at the official forums ( it is unfortunately a bug thread, AMD related issues again... ). It might help as a starting point.

Anyone else with an AMD card having a lot of flicker issues in fullscreen mode?

Ed: let's be clear here, there is no new tyre model. There's some tweaks in certain areas ( aero too ), and 2020 tyre *data* if you're on a 2020 track, but it's nothing as radical as a complete new model. The tweaks have made quite a difference though.

Will give it a try thanks. I was not using TAA as it kind of looks like crap with the cars ghosting and what not, but might have to put up with it.
