F1 2013 After Patch 2 Pitstops Required in Career 25% Races?

hi there i was just curios when i was in my career after the patch i am in 2 season in Mercedes and saw that my mechanics guy gave me 2 pitstops in race .... the ai does the same :O

is this managed from the patch or is this a bug?

I would imagine its by design, as tyre scaling is meant to be that it simulates real life no matter the race distance
