F1 2013 again about tyre wear

hi, I wonder if tyre wear in 50% and in 100% race is the same.
Because I play 50% and I have to do always at least 2 pits, often 3 pits, that means about 10 laps with one set of tyre therefore in 100% should be 4/6 pits, really unrealistic.
Btw I think is also unrealistic run only 10 laps with same tyre.

There is tyre wear scaling this year. So 10 laps on 50% = 20 laps on 100%. Or you can sit and try 1 stint of 100% race and see how far you can go.

I hope this isn't off topic as its about tyre wear, i purposely drove extremely careful resulting in lapping 3-4 seconds slower to test if that helps with tyre wear, but for me it didn't they were still in the same condition as if i had driven at my maximum. If thats the case then how can you save your tyres like the mechanic mentions when you leave the pits on your last stint.
