Assetto corsa not running in full screen

I'm sorry if this has been answered already (I'm pretty sure it was).
My issue is, that whenever I start a race/session through CM and load in, everything is good, but maybe if I try and open discord for instance, AC goes out of full screen and there is no way to get it back to full screen. Is this normal?

Dont use Fullscreen.

In CM goto Settings -> AC -> Video

and set your resolution without using fullscreen. AC will run borderless so you wont see a difference to fullscreen mode.

OK, did some quick testing. I can partly reproduce this with setting the resolution lower than my real resolution at my test system.

Looks like your desktop resolution is higher than actual AC resolution (u have Windows running 1440p for example and AC is set to run in 1080p). Thats how borderless can behave,differently to "fullscreen" setting where it will force monitor to change resolution. Either try to up the AC resolution or experiment more with fullscreen mode, it should work no problem (only using fscreen myself).

Hey man im new to assetto and i have a low end pc. Assetto runs fine when im on half screen, but as soon as i click full screen my fps drops dramatically. Any tips?

If your GPU isnt powerful enough, you need to compromise.

I assume you're using Content Manager and CSP?!

Settings -> Assetto Corsa -> Video:
- Lower World Details, Overall and Glare quality and reduce depth of field
- Reduce reflection resolution and set rendering frequency to max two faces

Settings -> CSP -> Graphic Adjustments
- Activate FSR, use "Old implementation" and reduce Quality to your liking

Besides that there are dozens of possible optimizations in CSP-settings. Just test them. But dont enable/disable everything at once. Its all about compromising and you need to test it out for yourself.
