It's blocked cause of posting links to mods from other sites than from RD is going against the rules here. Also would you mind and edit the link off from the "1939 ZIS 101A Sport".

Thanks.

That mod is not worth downloading. It makes zero attempt to actually replicate the behaviour - pretty sure they just use Lotus 49 physics, which makes zero sense since its about a 30 year newer car.

I find them to be okay, not great, but okay. Definitely not the same as Lotus 49 because they all handle very differently. And not like the Lotus 49. They honestly feel better then the Bugatti Type 51 mod in a lot of ways. The 1937 GP mod for Automobilista is considered quite accurate and it doesn't feel that far off (it's worse, but not like out of the realm of possibility worse), its just unfortunate that AMS doesn't have more historic tracks from even the 50s or 60s, and of course AMS doesn't have Donington 1938.

The 1923 Bugatti Type 32 mod is really good though, I'm looking forward to the author's next car: the 1923 Voisin C6.

I do have zero interest in the modern cars like the ugly brick shaped Le Mans cars, the alien insect looks of an F1 or even worser the hybide F1 wanne be. So after the 917/T70 and F1-1967 period, is for me an no-go area. Same is counting to the modern tracks, only interest in old circuits which I’m now collecting.
If have interest, pm me and I will sent you the AC links I did collected for an Vintage ride in AC. Think publishing here will be censored.

PM sent, let me know if being received as this is my first pm at this forum.
Be aware some mods are not state of the art and other points of criticism, but are perfect suited as an race opponent. So I always check them out, if not being good for my VR usage, is made only for the flatworld gaming or acting like an modern car as an sample, they will be restricted to AI use only, so still being useful.

Just saying.

37 GP cars with 67 F1 suspension technology... That mod is beyond terrible.

You have to sign-up to download it but there's a scratch-made W125 available here, https://assettocorsamods.net/resources/categories/ac-cars.2/ plus Gary's Auto-Union in the works.

Fat Alfie's Feldbergring and Deutschlandring are set in the 50s but I feel they both capture the pre-war vibe of racing on public roads, as well as being really good tracks in their own right. There's a Goodwood, and a Longford track which is post-war and a bit wonky in parts but has some great surprise corners and the long straights that were very pre-war too.

Having seen the amount of work that goes into making a mod I'm trying to get away from rips. Not going to preach, I've downloaded plenty myself, but I can imagine how it must feel to spend hundreds of hours working on something you have a passion for and then see it ripped off. Just my opinion, I know it's an argument with a lot of sides to it.

Glad you're enjoying the Tank though, one of the things I love about sim-racing is the way we can try to re-create these often bloody dangerous cars and enjoy them again without brave and slightly crazy people having to risk their lives.

Few more tracks that were used for pre-war French Grand Prix, layouts were probably a little (or a lot) different but it's the closest we can get:

(Not ;)) Le Mans. Used for the 1921 French GP: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/le-grand-circuit-1967.17288/

Rheims-Gueux - 1932 French GP, apparently the track passed through the village of Gueux at the time: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/reims-gueux-1-0.25648/

Pau - 1938 French GP, layout looks almost unchanged:

Thanks for commenting about these, but I will only be adding tracks & cars that are specifically from 1940 or earlier. But everyone should feel free to post additional suggestions in the comments so we have more variety even if they aren't specifically from that era and included in the main post.

The track of Montjuïc Park, in Barcelona, since 1933, Nuvolari era...until 1975. One of the most beautiful circuits in F1 history.
You will find a bit of history here: http://freeleo.hu/montjuic/history.html (Not download available here))

For download the track, make a Google search for "montjuich 75 for assetto corsa". (A Rainmaker conversion from rFactor and the original one for Grand Prix Legends)
Enjoy!

used to be a race near where I love in Northern Ireland and it was really famous in its time.

It's a shame Northern Ireland isn't as widely recognised in the motorsport world as it should be. Great history, great circuits and dedicated fans!

Here's a little site, has been going for years, The Programme Covers Project. It has race programme covers for just about every circuit imaginable, including Ards. (Click image for full size)

In fact, if you click here: RAC International Tourist Trophy Race — August 17, 1929, they have uploaded a full programme. Not much use but may be interesting all the same.

Edit: When you could buy four brand new Austin 7's for less than the price of an RTX3070...:D
