AC Red Pack 2.jpg

Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games have deployed the latest build of Assetto Corsa plus the Porsche Volume 2 and Red Pack DLC for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 today, adding a number of new cars, a new circuit and an array of updates to the sim.

With both Porsche Volume 2 and the 'Red Pack' DLC coming on the same day it is perhaps unsurprising that the considerable update to build 1.11 has been overlooked somewhat. Kunos and 505 have been hard at work bringing the console version of the title closer in specification to its PC counterpart, and build 1.11 goes a long way towards that goal.

The 'RED PACK' DLC

Sadly the latest update deployment hasn't gone exactly according to plan, with Season Pass owners struggling to download the DLC offering. Kunos have stated they are aware of the issue and are currently working on a solution to the problem.

Wish they would take this time to develop the PC game. To do stuff like weather and night racing for example.
Night and rain not gonna happen without a new engine, as mentioned before. The reason for no night is due to the engine only supporting 1 light source (the sun), and to implement rain is a lot of work so it would fit better for a new sim (AC2). If that will happen (hope so). I might be wrong as i dont know what Kunos does behind closed doors of course, but this is what has been said about night and rain. It was skipped from the start because statistics say most people race in good weather where night/rain is a novelty thing, and so they didnt put effort into it. Endurance racers are fewer than the average player who want a grippy sunny short race. Lots of us would like those features, but it is what it is, and its understandable from their point of view. Lets hope for AC2 in the future with night/rain. :)

A late Christmas for the console kiddies!

Even as a joke, this is highly distasteful and a stupid thing to say.

Dont perpetuate this tripe and start flamewars.

Wish they would take this time to develop the PC game.

Have you already forgotten we just had 3 substantial updates? Well, i guess it would be easy to forget since it has already been 3 weeks since the last update

To do stuff like weather and night racing for example.

Not gonna happen, quit asking for snow and night racing.
