Reiza Studios have released version 0.9.0r for Steam Early Access title Automobilista Motorsports Simulator.

With a nice selection of tweaks and changes included in the update perhaps most exciting of all is news from the studio that both the Boxer Cup and Virginia International Raceway are close to making their debut in the public version of the build.

Although not available in version 0.9.0r backers of Reizas' Crowdfunding campaign or members of the Reiza Membership package have access to a non public beta version of the title that runs alongside the Steam public beta game. With Friday's release of 0.9.0r (changelog below) made available for "standard" owners of the game those who have the private beta as part of the crowdfunding or membership package privilege can now access the new 'work-in-progress' content prior to finalisation and release on the public version of the title.

As Automobilista nears completion and exit from Early Access status the team over at Reiza Studios are hard at work bringing new content and game enhancements to finalise a game that is already arguably one of the best sim racing titles on the market currently.

Full changelog details for version 0.9.0r below:
  • Added new alternative sky/cloud texture sets + function to randomly load different sets in each session.
  • Tweaked tire scrub / skid sound logic to generally improve audio feedback.
  • Adjusted tire volume slider to go up to 200%.
  • Partially disabled advanced tranny code for sequential boxes while some remaining bugs are ironed out.
  • Reprofiled dashboard displays for Supertrucks & karts.
  • Repainted skins for the F-Reiza cars.
  • Updated Mini & Camaro championship track calendar.
  • F-V10: Added Soft tire compound and made it the default option.
  • F-V12: Removed duplicated teams from v0.8.9.
  • F3: Corrected fuel consumption.
  • Supertruck: Removed redundant engine boost effects which were mistakenly left on.
  • MIT Lancer: Removed launch control functionality which were mistakenly left on.

... brought smile on my face and I can t wait to drive any H shifter car in any RD club race. Thanks Reiza, this is what I was waiting for since formula Vee release

So for people with the beta acess, would you say it worth will becoming a premium member? I really want to the the boxer for a spin lol but yeah I probably could wait a week lol
Well, it depends on you mostly… If you can wait a week or two, and have already the game, it will not be night and day. Having the beta gives you access a little bit earlier; sometimes there are minor glitches but it is quite rare and they are quickly solved. Most of all, having beta access gives you the opportunity to help Reiza and report anything you want before the game goes to the public!
What is nice atm is that they offer packages with all the upcoming DLCs. You give more money to a nice developer and you ensure you will get all the extra content, plus you have access to the beta...

I got a ~16mb update today and the changelog with it indicates that VIR and the Boxer Cup have been released, but when I go in game, I don't see either of them...

Am I missing something? I'm not a beta backer... I probably should get on that, lol.

I'll just say that I'm kind of disappointed that Reiza didn't throw accuracy to the wind and decide to put the Oak tree in where it used to be. That was once perhaps the most picturesque of corners in all of racing.
Reiza said beforehand that the tree will not be in their version.
Don't remember the reasoning, tho.

I assume for accuracy. I'm in favour of accuracy tbh.
I said it before in another thread, but it's the same case with Monza's Parabolica. I don't like that they've added Tarmac runoff, but I want to have the same replication in a simulator simply for the sake of being up to date :)

Monza is in AMS? Did I miss something? Or do I missunderstand something?

Well the argument one could make is that this is a rather exceptional one off case of emotional bias and that its purely cosmetic and in an entirely positive way while the changes to Parabolica are in fact relevant to the experience of driving the corner (however far off the track the new paving may be).

I'd make a special modded version myself of VIR if I had any idea how to 3D model trees.
