AC BMW M235i Race car @ Mugello - Wed 30 Jan 2018

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
MUGELLO2.png

This week we are going to drive an equally great car the BMW 325i, you need to drive her in a very similar fashion to the way you drive the Mazda ..keep the momentum going. She does have more power yes, but just as easy to drive and just as much fun as the Mazda. If you have not driven/raced this car before? then I urge you to try her, go onto the practice and run a few laps. The Mazda has not been gone and forgotten, she will return, for sure.

Reserve Drivers
If you have not got a place in the race event before official practice starts, please be in TeamSpeak by 20:15 UTC. Not before 20:20 UTC I will start to invite the reserve (reserve's) drivers into the event, starting at the top of the reserve list and working down depending on available slots.

A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.
Golden Rule
  1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in teamspeak. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

You are number 1 Allan ..Welcome aboard
I told you to put me on the list :p but alright I'll let Allan have it :roflmao:
Yes! come on. fixed setup.
Default is pretty much as fast as it gets. When I was a bit slower last year I asked a very fast friend of mine about creating a setup. He spend 2 hours with the car and told me he was quickest with the default. He gave me his Motec logs and after analysis of the data I found out the I just sucked :whistling::laugh:
3 spreadsheets later and a few hours on track I was a lot quicker and ran default.

I know you didn't ask for it, wanted to write this anyway :poop:

But your are frickin' fast either way aren't you?

I was going to do it Rasmus, but because I changed the car, I was not so sure ...Welcome aboard my friend

Let's learn how to be fast in this beauty:thumbsup:
What I had to learn with this car:
1. You need to keep the brake at around 5-10% until the apex to maintain grip at the front end. Otherwise you'll get understeer!

2. Don't brake at 100% while turning in. Although the car got abs, it will lean too much towards the front and kill the front tyres.

3. When lifting the brakes don't go from 80% straight to 10%. Be smooth otherwise the car will unsettle, weight will shift towards the middle/rear too quickly and you'll get understeer.

4. This wonkyness and understeer is needed to be able to make a nice 4-wheel drift from the apex to the exit.

That's why the default setup is pretty much perfect, apart from being difficult to drive. :p
