DiRT 4 Bought Dirt 4 - BMW M3 RWD Video (Vs Dirt Rally)

So, I bought Dirt 4, skeptical of it after hearing about it's issues with the rear wheel behavior.
I have to say, and I have a video to show, that at least from this BMW M3 car from historic rally, the RWD is working quite well... Maybe they have fixed it and I didn't heard anything of it?

I really wanted the functionality of having multiple tracks. My experience with that was also good for now, with some nice track generations I had the opportunity to race on.

The weight of the cars feel a thousand times better and there isn't the strange sensation of having the car flying with the wind like Dirt Rally. Feels a lot more like RBR and that's a good thing.

I don't have that much to say right now, as I need to play more, but I'm baffeled that some people prefer Dirt Rally still.

Oh, and Tuning really does help, with things like Differentials making a good difference with that RWD car and also, this M3 did seem to have the front anti roll bar maxed out on stiffness.. so, maybe that's where the strange behavior seemed to come from. Wheels spin on this machine and I crashed before ending the video that comes next:

Enjoy!

I've gone back and forth with thinking Dirt 4 was not too bad, but in the end it's one of the only sims that I have that I have not got installed. It really is disappointing to drive. The track generation is sorely lacking. They need more tiles to choose from. It's very limited. The driving feels very strange in most of the cars that I have driven. Sometimes you can get it to be OK but when you're constantly waiting for something to throw you off through no fault of your own, it's not great. Wreckfest drives WAAAAAY better and is so much more fun. I have even installed the older Dirt titles, all the way back to Colin McRae DiRT. Do yourself a favour and drive those. Forget Dirt 4 existed and enjoy all the content the previous titles have to offer. This is coming from someone that actually entered the world of sim racing via Dirt Rally early access.

Just my 2 cents.

Once you get the italian engineer D. Rosinni or something( C class i think ). His setup skills are 80. You get enough setup options to get your setup dialed in. I usually start with changing the setup alignment front to -2 to -2.5 and rear -1.6 to -2 with some toe in on the rear. RWD rear diff maxed out. And finally i bring the front and rear spring stiffness closer together, and change the swaybars, mostly make them less stiff.

In Australia i even got a good setup for the escort mk II. Not perfect yet but off throttle it is now slightly understeery and on throttle it powerslides all you want. I'm working on them setups. The fiat 131 is the best in H2 though.

The Lancia 037 is epic to drive in D4. Give me a pm if you are interested in a good setup for it. I have all the locations for it. At engineer skill 85 ( edit: D.Rosinni 80 + good mood 5 = 85 )
