Brake lights bloom effect

Anybody knows how to turn that fuzzy brake lights bloom off, turning Bloom off in Effects doesn't do anything.

I never noticed this until you mentioned it! :) I also found the bloom setting made no difference. Strangely, it doesn't show up when in chase cam for me. I'll have a proper play later after work.
 
well, I am stumped. Tried turning all effects off, but it was still there. Even took a look at the raw xml files, but there didn't seem to be anything that was not already exposed in the UI. I did however realise why I hadn't noticed before. I'm not sure about you chaps, but the intensity of the effect seems very car dependent for me and the older stuff with inferior brake lights don't seem anywhere near as noticeable as say the GTE/V8 (it's still there though). Since I tend to stick to things that I can use my H pattern for, the effect looked more like antialiasing than bloom. You might want to bring it up on the reiza forum as it seems like a simple bug in the bloom logic
