A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you have to check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.

When entering the track from the pits, stay off the racing line until you are up to speed. Do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by. On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Teamspeak and on the server. Not doing so WILL result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

BONUS CONTENT!

This week's track, Portimao, is one of the tracks featured in this brilliant video (about 3 mins in) that @Chris Down made as a 'recap of the year' in GT3's a couple of years ago, well worth a watch - a fantastic short movie by Chris :)

:cautious:

I don't want to come across as old (which I am), cranky (again, which I am) and stuck in my ways (see above), but doesn't this defeat the object of playing a sim, against fellow sim racers?

Sorry to grumble, especially to you John who I have the upmost respect for.
It's OK Patrick, I get what you mean and if we had full grids every week I might not have done it:thumbsup:

The main reason I did is we seem to be sliding out of the lockdown-thingy (seems more are back at work now) and grids are looking smaller, and I didn't want to put off anyone that finds it a handful/has little time for practice - I'm guessing it's unlikely they'd say anything on the forum. If the majority say get rid of it I've no problem with that.:)

Bring back Skippy, you'll be fighting 'em off:p:roflmao:

This car would have had ABS no?

wikiedit: "Servo-assisted ABS brakes were ruled out as they would imply increased mass, complexity and reduced brake feel; however at the cost of increasing the required skill of the driver.[21]"

Seems it didn't Brian, what a beast! :inlove:.....
"Additionally the McLaren wasn’t equipped with any driving aids which meant it lacked traction control, ABS, power brakes and power steering."

Post #11 explains why I made abs and tc an option:)
